Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Cordiale lets you create event invitations and collect RSVPs through a single link — and, for weddings, find vendors and planners. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: we don't run ads, we never sell your personal information, we collect only what's needed to run the service, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time.

When You Create an Event

To create and manage an event, we collect the details you enter — your name, email address, optionally your phone number, and your event's information (title, date, time, venue, and the message and design you choose). We sign you in with a one-time code sent to your email rather than a password, and keep you signed in with a secure session so you can return to manage your event and see who's responded.

When You RSVP to an Invitation

You can RSVP without creating an account. When you respond, we collect what you enter — your name, email address, optionally your phone number, meal or dietary preferences, the names of any guests you're bringing, and any message you leave for the host. This information is shared with the host of that event so they can plan it; it is not shared with other hosts or used to advertise to you. To operate and secure the service, we also record basic technical information when you respond, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and time zone.

Sharing Your Invitation

Invitations are shared by you, not by us. When you share your link — on WhatsApp, by message, or anywhere else — Cordiale generates the link and a preview image, but we don't post anything on your behalf and we don't access your contacts, messages, or social accounts.

Vendors and Planners

Cordiale includes a directory of wedding vendors and planners. If you send an inquiry or a planning request, the contact details and information you provide are shared with that specific vendor or planner so they can respond — and with no one else. If you leave a review, the content you submit is shown publicly with the name you provide.

Usage Data and Cookies

We keep a basic record of how the service is used — such as pages viewed and actions taken — to operate, secure, and improve Cordiale. We use essential cookies to keep the site working and, where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics to understand usage. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers, and we don't run ads. You can block cookies in your browser, though some features may not work as expected.

Service Providers

We rely on a few trusted providers to run Cordiale, who process data only on our behalf and under their own privacy terms — including Supabase (database and file storage) and Resend (transactional email such as sign-in codes and RSVP notifications), along with our hosting and infrastructure providers.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to run the service and provide your event. Hosts can delete an event at any time, which removes its guest responses; you can also ask us to delete your account or any information you've submitted.

Your Choices and Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time — email us at hello@cordiale.io. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK, or California), you may have additional rights over your data, and we'll honor valid requests in line with applicable law.

International Users

Cordiale is used by people around the world, including across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and India. Your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.

Children

Cordiale isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new date, and your continued use of Cordiale after changes means you accept the updated policy.
